Byn's Early Oscar Predictions

Here are some early predictions by me, even before I’ve seen any of the current season’s hot Oscar faves:

- Inside Man for best screenplay, best director, best actor (Clive Owen), best supporting actress (Jodie Foster), best soundtrack, best song (if the opening credit song is eligible) perhaps even Denzel Washington for something
- United 93 for best director, best cinematography, best screenplay
- Helen Mirren for Best Actress for The Queen
- Michael Sheen for Best Supporting Actor in The Queen
- Meryl Streep for Best Actress for The Devil Wears Prada
- Stanley Tucci for Best Supporting Actor for The Devil Wears Prada
- Neil Young: Heart of Gold for best documentary
- An Inconvenient Truth for best documentary and best song for the cool Melissa Etheridge song over the end credits
- I would like to see Chiwetel Ejiofor nominated for something, as he did incredible work in Inside Man, Kinky Boots, and Serenity, and has an interesting part in the upcoming Children of Men.
- I predict a nomination for Robert Altman for Prairie Home Companion, as a sentimental posthumous nomination
- There better not be one single nomination for Borat!!

Have you even seen Borat??

Robyn says: No, I have not seen Borat. But neither have I seen Saw III, Black Christmas or Trailer Park Boys, and I would not want any of those movies to get nominations either.
